The Story Behind KDLATX
KDLATX is more than just a business name. It represents a legacy. The initials stand for Katia Delia Luna, my daughter, while ATX proudly roots the business in Austin, Texas. My goal is not just to grow KDLATX into a thriving company but to create something that can stand the test of time and, one day, be passed down as a legacy.
This journey started when I was 14 years old, working in my father’s printing shop in Brownsville, Texas. My dad was resourceful, building finishing machines from whatever he could find, and I inherited that hands-on approach. One day, when his graphic designer was unavailable, I stepped in and taught myself Aldus PageMaker to get the job done. From then on, I was in charge of all the shop’s graphic design work. With no tutorials or internet resources to rely on, I learned by doing. That foundation in problem-solving and creativity is still with me today.
Austin is full of talented creatives, and I’m constantly inspired by the work I see around me. What sets KDLATX apart is my ability to work quickly and deliver results. I’m a one-man show, which means every design, every revision, and every interaction is handled by me. This gives my clients the personal attention they deserve, but it also means I’ve mastered efficiency. I’ve created websites in as little as six hours and provided logo options within two hours, finalizing designs in just a few revisions. My clients know they can count on me to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
